Print-Ready File Guide
Print-Ready File Guide
Submit your artwork in the best format for clean, accurate printing.
At Tee Imprints, we want your apparel to look exactly how you envision it. To make that happen, your artwork must be sent in a print-ready format. Below is a simple guide to help you prepare your files for DTF, DTG, HTV, and Embroidery.
File Formats
- Recommended: PNG (300 DPI, transparent background), PDF, AI, EPS, SVG
- Not recommended: screenshots, low-resolution JPEGs, photos of designs
Resolution
300 DPI minimum is required for the best print quality. Lower resolution artwork may appear blurry or pixelated.
Colors
- Use RGB for DTF and DTG
- Use CMYK or Spot Colors for HTV and Embroidery
- Avoid neon or metallic colors unless requested
Backgrounds
- Remove backgrounds unless intentionally part of the design
- Transparent PNGs are ideal
- Avoid white boxes around artwork
Sizing
- Chest prints: 8–12 in wide
- Back prints: 11–14 in wide
- Full-front prints: 10–13 in wide
- Hoodie prints: 10–12 in wide
- Hat embroidery: 2–4 in wide
- Left chest embroidery: 3–4 in wide
Embroidery Requirements
- Vector files preferred (AI, EPS, SVG)
- Thin lines may need adjusting
- Small text should be at least 0.25 in tall
- Gradients do not stitch well
- A digitizing fee may apply on new designs
HTV Requirements
- Best for one-color designs
- No gradients or tiny distressed details
- Vector files recommended
